SB0211 amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act to require filers to disclose family members' employment in local government and economic.

SB0211 amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act by updating the statement of economic interests to include the names of each spouse, sibling, child, or parent who is an employee, contractor, or office holder in the same unit of local government as the filer. It also requires disclosure of any economic relationship with a lobbyist or a family member known to be a lobbyist. The Secretary of State must adjust the amounts specified under this Section every five years.
