Illinois SB0210 extends health care professional licenses by 3 months during a public health emergency.

Illinois SB0210 amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law to extend the expiration date of health care professional licenses by 3 months if they expire during a public health emergency declared by the Governor. This applies to physicians, dentists, optometrists, physician assistants, and registered nurses. The renewal fees and expiration date of the extended license will match those of a renewal on the original expiration date. The changes take effect immediately upon the bill becoming law.
