Allows public universities in Illinois offering aviation courses to sell qualified aircraft to bona fide purchasers.
The bill amends the State Property Control Act to allow the Board of Trustees of public universities in Illinois offering aviation courses to sell qualified aircraft to bona fide purchasers. The sale must be in the best interests of the university and consistent with its objects and purposes. The proceeds from the sale can be retained in a separate account for maintaining the university's or college's fleet of aircraft or for purchasing replacement aircraft. The Administrator must prioritize the transfer of aircraft to universities that have listed their need for such aircraft.
