Exempts tiny homes for homeless veterans from EV-capable parking space requirements.
The bill amends the Electric Vehicle Charging Act to exempt tiny homes for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness from the requirement of EV-capable parking spaces. This exemption applies if the tiny home is constructed by a specified nonprofit organization that exclusively funds and administers tiny homes for veterans. Counties and municipalities are prohibited from adopting any building code or ordinance that requires EV-capable parking spaces for these tiny homes. The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
