The Illinois House of Representatives congratulates the Central High School Varsity Cheerleading squad, the Cougars, on winning the 2025-2026 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A Competitive Cheerleading State Final. The Cougars, led by Coaches Julianne Jacob, Tea Cripe, Blake Bowers, and Morgan Jansen, finished first out of 25 teams in the 1A division with a score of 94.02, more than two points ahead of Columbia High School. This victory marks the Cougars' fifth state title and their ninth sectional championship in competitive cheerleading.
