The Illinois House of Representatives mourns the passing of Tyrone Haymore, a respected community leader and historian from Robbins. Haymore, who earned degrees from Northeastern Illinois University and Thornton Junior College, was a scholar of African American culture, history, and political science. He served as executive director, curator, and historian of the Robbins Historical Society, and was instrumental in opening the Robbins History Museum. Haymore also dedicated nearly three decades to public service as a village clerk and trustee of Robbins.
