The Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Mary Stitt on her 100th birthday and her more than 50 years of dedication to public service. Stitt has contributed to eight organizations in Arlington Heights, including serving as a volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital and on the board of the Arlington Heights Senior Center. She was also an educator and principal at Olive Elementary School, which was renamed in her honor. Stitt has also volunteered internationally, providing polio immunizations and clean water and medicine in several countries.
