The Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Frank J. Christensen, General President of the International Union of Elevator Constructors, for his decades of service to the labor community. Christensen, a Chicago native, has held numerous leadership roles within the IUEC and the Chicago labor community, including serving as IUEC vice president and chairman of the Illinois Elevator Safety Review Board. He was elected to serve as business manager in 2001 and has been re-elected three times, making him the longest-serving business manager in Local 2's history.
