PEP has been serving young people, seniors, disadvantaged families, and children in several Chicago communities. PEP's programs include the Maryann Donlon Senior Citizen Program, the SMART Program for academic enrichment, and the Chicago Demons sports programs for boys and girls. Vince Carter, a mathematics teacher and head basketball coach, founded PEP in 1980.
