Illinois HB5808 amends the Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act to allow student-athletes in grades 9 through 12 to transfer to another school and be granted full athletic eligibility at the receiving school if both the sending school's and receiving school's principals or official representatives provide written consent to the association or entity for the transfer. If the student transfers after the official start date of the athletic season, they will be ineligible for the remainder of the school year.
