Illinois HB5740 amends the Illinois Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics Act to create a limited expansion mechanism for admitting federally certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics into the Illinois Medicaid Demonstration program. To be eligible, a provider must be certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, in existence since January 1, 2026, located in Illinois, and actively receiving a federal grant. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services must approve participation for eligible providers.
