HB5620 allows judges with concealed carry licenses to bring firearms into certain court buildings.

HB5620 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to permit judges with concealed carry licenses to bring firearms into buildings designated for matters before the Illinois Supreme Court, Appellate Court, or circuit court, and any building or portion of a building under the control of the Supreme Court. This exception does not apply to other individuals, even those with concealed carry licenses. The bill takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
