HB5618 empowers the Illinois Attorney General to investigate, find, or litigate on behalf of unit owners in common interest community associations.

HB5618 amends the Common Interest Community Association Act and the Condominium Property Act to authorize the Attorney General to investigate, make findings, or litigate on behalf of unit owners whose rights have been violated by the owners' governing board. This includes violations under Illinois law or the board's governing documents. The Attorney General is also authorized to adopt rules to implement these provisions.
