HB5534 establishes a registry for persistent domestic violence offenders in Illinois.

HB5534 amends the Illinois State Police Act to create a registry for persistent domestic violence offenders. The registry will be maintained by the Illinois State Police and will include the offender's name, date of birth, conviction date, county of convictions, and a photograph. The registry will be accessible to the public online. The court clerk must forward the offender's conviction information and date of birth to the Illinois State Police within 7 days of the conviction.
