Introduced Text

Health Care Worker Platform Act regulates electronic platforms connecting health care workers with facilities.

The Health Care Worker Platform Act mandates that any electronic platform connecting health care workers with facilities must register with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Platforms must ensure workers meet licensing, training, and insurance requirements. They must also maintain records of worker qualifications and insurance. The Act prohibits platforms from requiring noncompete agreements or restricting workers from multiple jobs. Platforms must allow appeals for registration denials. The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
