CRIMINAL JUSTICE TASK FORCE

From the Legislature

Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. Removes references to the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority. Provides that the Task Force created under the Act shall be established within the Department of Corrections rather than the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority. Provides that the Governor shall appoint the Director of the Sentencing Policy Advisory Council, a representative of an association that represents attorneys statewide, and a representative of a philanthropic organization with expertise and experience in funding services and policies for justice-involved emerging adults to the Task Force.
