Illinois HB5375 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to redefine "multifunction school activity bus" (MFSAB) and regulate its use for student transportation. The bill specifies that a MFSAB is a school bus manufactured for transporting 11 or more persons, excluding those used for regular student transport to and from home or school. It prohibits MFSABs from being used for transporting students to and from home or school bus stops unless the driver holds a valid school bus permit.
