Illinois HB5253 amends the Fire Protection District Act to adjust the compensation for members of the board of trustees based on the number of full-time paid firemen in the district. Trustees in districts with fewer than 4 full-time paid firemen can receive up to $1,500 per annum, those in districts with more than 3 but fewer than 10 full-time paid firemen can receive up to $2,000 per annum, and those in districts with 10 or more full-time paid firemen can receive up to $2,500 per annum.
