Illinois HB5210 creates a Disability Benefits Maximization Program to assist eligible annuitants, retirees, and dependents with enrolling in Social.

Illinois HB5210 amends the Department of Central Management Services Law to establish the Disability Benefits Maximization Program. This program will assist annuitants, retirees, benefit recipients, and their survivors and dependents who become disabled and are not enrolled in Social Security Disability Insurance and Medicare. The program will include developing communication materials, performing outreach, analyzing eligibility, and representing individuals on their claims.
