Illinois HB5164 amends the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act to allow assisted living and supportive living establishments to provide approved training for certified nursing assistants. The training must meet the requirements of the Nursing Home Care Act and rules adopted by the Department of Public Health, including those in 77 Ill. Adm. Code 395 and 77 Ill. Adm. Code 955. The supervised clinical portion of the training can be completed at an assisted living establishment, a supportive living establishment, or an affiliated site approved by the Department.
