Illinois HB5143 amends the Sports Wagering Act to modify tax rates and fund allocations for sports wagering. The bill imposes a wager tax on each master sports licensee for each individual wager placed with the master sports licensee for sports wagering over the Internet or through a mobile application. The tax rates vary based on the amount of annual adjusted gross sports wagering receipts. The bill also allocates funds to the General Revenue Fund, Capital Projects Fund, and Rebuild Illinois Projects Fund.
