ENTERTAINMENT WATER ACCESS

Introduced·2/5/26
Introduced Text

Illinois HB5098 mandates that places of entertainment provide attendees with access to potable water during events.

The Entertainment Water Access Act requires places of entertainment to offer attendees access to drinking water during events. This can be done by providing free bottled water, allowing attendees to bring their own bottled water, or allowing attendees to bring an empty bottle and refill it with free water. The Attorney General is responsible for enforcing the Act and can provide information to entertainment venue owners and operators. The Act also allows for injunctive relief for violations.
