HB5069 allows unit owners to remove noxious and exotic weeds without board permission.

HB5069 amends the Common Interest Community Association Act and the Condominium Property Act to allow unit owners to remove Illinois designated noxious and exotic weeds without requiring permission from the association or board of managers. Any provision in the association's community instruments that requires such permission is null and void. The bill also prohibits rules or regulations from impairing rights guaranteed by the First Amendment or Illinois Constitution, including religious practices.
