Illinois HB4914 amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to revise Medicaid reimbursement rates for nursing facilities. It sets new per diem add-on rates for nursing facilities based on their staffing levels as indicated by the STRIVE study. Facilities with staffing levels below 73% of the STRIVE study's indicated staffing will not receive a variable per diem staffing add-on after December 31, 2026. The bill also implements the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) for nursing services, effective July 1, 2022, pending federal approval.
