The Future of Work Act of 2026 establishes a task force to study and recommend policies on future employment trends and technologies.

The Future of Work Act of 2026 creates a task force to identify and assess emerging technologies affecting employment, wages, and skill requirements. The task force will develop job standards and working conditions to ensure future work builds a vibrant middle class. It will also compile research on technology deployment, develop tools to assess technology impacts, and identify policies to address systemic inequities. The task force will submit a final report to the Governor and General Assembly by August 31, 2028, and every 5 years thereafter.
