The Green Light for Buses Act creates the Committee on Efficient Arterial Signal Infrastructure to advise the Illinois Department of Transportation on improving public transit efficiency. The Committee will make recommendations for roadway and signalization infrastructure improvements in the metropolitan region. It will also develop strategies for expanding transit signal priority and recommend practices for coordinated signal operations. The Department must incorporate the Committee's recommendations into its Public Transportation Plan.
