Limitations on Facility Fees Act restricts facility fees charged by health care providers.

The Limitations on Facility Fees Act restricts facility fees charged by health care providers. It prohibits facility fees for outpatient evaluation and management services and other outpatient, diagnostic, or imaging services unless provided on a hospital's campus, at a facility with a licensed hospital emergency department, or at a freestanding emergency center. The Department of Public Health must annually identify services that may be provided safely and effectively outside hospitals.
