Illinois HB4690 amends the Property Tax Code to allow municipalities authorized to levy and collect taxes for maintaining, constructing, or replacing sanitary sewers to collect these taxes as part of the taxpayer's property tax bill. The sanitary sewer taxes collected under this provision will not be considered part of any taxing district's aggregate extension for the purpose of the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law.
