Illinois HB4660 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow cyclists approaching a stop sign to proceed through the intersection without stopping if they slow to a reasonable speed and yield to pedestrians, other traffic, and oncoming traffic posing an immediate hazard. This rule does not apply at railroad crossings, to cyclists under 18, or at 4-way intersections with only two stop signs.
