This bill amends the Nursing Education Scholarship Law to allow the Illinois Department of Public Health to award additional nursing education scholarships starting in the 2026-2027 academic year, subject to appropriation from the General Revenue Fund and in addition to any other funds available. Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants based on financial need, merit, and other criteria. The bill removes a provision regarding nursing education scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year.
