Illinois HB4563 amends the Property Tax Code to mandate the publication of property assessments in counties with less than 3,000,000 inhabitants. The chief county assessment officer must publish a complete list of assessments by townships if organized. This list can be published in a public newspaper or on the county website. The notice must include information about the median level of assessment, the estimated fair cash value, and steps for taxpayers to review and appeal their assessments. The publication must occur by December 31 of the assessment year.
