HB4556 amends the Genetic Information Privacy Act to strengthen confidentiality and privacy protections for genetic and biomarker testing information. It prohibits insurers from seeking or using genetic or biomarker test results for underwriting purposes. It also restricts employers from requiring or requesting genetic or biomarker tests, using such information for employment decisions, or penalizing employees for not disclosing such information.
