Illinois HB4555 amends the Property Tax Code to allow for the appointment of additional members to boards of review in counties under township organization with less than 3,000,000 inhabitants. When an emergency situation arises due to a high number of complaints, the chairman of the county board may appoint qualified residents to serve on the board of review. These additional members will not participate in the intracounty equalization process.
