Illinois HB4554 amends the State Finance Act to prohibit the State from expending or investing public funds in any organization, nonprofit organization, religious organization, or any other entity for conversion therapy. It also prohibits the State from entering into any contract for the provision of conversion therapy. Any contract used for conversion therapy shall be void and unenforceable as contrary to public policy. For purposes of this Section, "conversion therapy" means any practices or treatments that seek to change an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity.
