HB4523 amends the Illinois Pesticide Act to prohibit the use of any pesticide that contains a chemical that is an intentionally added perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS). The Director of Agriculture is prohibited from registering any pesticide product that contains any intentionally added PFAS. The use of any spray adjuvant that contains any intentionally added PFAS is also prohibited. The Department of Agriculture is required to adopt rules to implement these provisions.
