Human Services Workforce Sustainability Act aims to increase grant funding for human service providers in Illinois.
The Human Services Workforce Sustainability Act seeks to ensure fair, competitive wages for human service workers by increasing grant funding for human service providers. The Act requires State agencies to complete a look-back calculation comparing funding amounts awarded in fiscal years 2026 and 2021. Based on these calculations, agencies must identify additional appropriations needed to ensure grant amounts in fiscal year 2028 are at least 25% higher than in 2021.
