HB4445 amends the Freedom of Information Act to regulate the commercial use of body-worn camera recordings.

HB4445 amends the Freedom of Information Act to address the commercial use of body-worn camera recordings. If a public body determines that a request for such a recording is likely to be used for a commercial purpose, it must inform the requester that the recording may contain identifiable subjects, and that using it commercially triggers obligations under the Act. The public body must also notify each identifiable subject in the recording about the request and the potential commercial use.
