Illinois HB4383 mandates the Legislative Information System to provide public access to audio and video recordings of General Assembly committee.

HB4383 amends the Legislative Information System Act to require the System to make available to the public, through its website, audio and video recordings of all committee hearings of the General Assembly occurring on or after the effective date of the Act. These recordings must be posted for at least 30 days after the committee hearing. The Act also mandates the System to provide various legislative information in electronic form, including committee schedules, member biographies, and bill texts.
