Illinois HB4374 allows certain exemptions from commercial driver's license requirements for specific vehicles and operators.

Illinois HB4374 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to provide exemptions from commercial driver's license (CDL) requirements for certain vehicles and operators. Specifically, it exempts drivers of commercial motor vehicles weighing less than 26,001 pounds and equipped with hydraulic brakes, air brakes, or compliant systems from obtaining a CDL. Additionally, it exempts operators of covered farm vehicles transporting agricultural products, implements of husbandry, or farm products from CDL requirements, provided they complete necessary tests.
