HB4351

VEH CD-RETRO LICENSE PLATES

Introduced·1/8/26

Illinois HB4351 allows the Secretary of State to issue retro license plates, with fees supporting pancreatic cancer research.

HB4351 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to permit the Secretary of State to issue special retro license plates, replicating the design and color of plates issued between 1983 and 2001. The plates can be affixed to passenger vehicles, motorcycles, autocycles, and certain motor vehicles. An additional fee of $40 for original issuance and $27 for renewal supports the Theresa Tracy Trot-Illinois CancerCare Foundation Fund, dedicated to pancreatic cancer research.
