Illinois HB4245 amends vehicle registration requirements, including the attachment of plates and stickers.
HB4245 modifies the Illinois Vehicle Code to change how vehicle registration plates and stickers are issued and displayed. Beginning with the next registration year, the Secretary of State will issue one registration plate for newly registered motor vehicles instead of two. The registration plate for a motor vehicle, except for motorcycles, trailers, semitrailers, truck-tractors, apportioned buses, or apportioned trucks, must be attached to the rear of the vehicle.
