Illinois HB4232 reduces vehicle registration fees for veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Illinois HB4232 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to reduce vehicle registration fees for veterans and active-duty military personnel. Beginning with the 2026 registration year, the standard fee for passenger vehicles and certain other vehicles is reduced by 50% for Illinois vehicle owners who were on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces and stationed outside the United States for 90 days or longer.
