Illinois HB4199 amends laws concerning driver's licenses and identification cards, including changes to temporary visitor's licenses, REAL ID.

Illinois HB4199 amends the Consular Identification Document Act, the Election Code, the Illinois Identification Card Act, and the Illinois Vehicle Code. It repeals changes made by and restores language removed by Public Act 103-210 regarding temporary visitor's driver's licenses and non-compliant licenses. The bill allows the Secretary of State to issue temporary visitor's driver's licenses to foreign nationals ineligible for a social security number. It also mandates that REAL ID compliant identification cards and driver's licenses bear a security marking approved by the U.S.
