Illinois HB4188 amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code to adjust personal needs allowances for residents in state-licensed facilities. Beginning January 1, 2025, for residents in facilities licensed under the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act, the state will pay an additional amount to ensure the total monthly personal needs allowance equals $60. For residents in facilities licensed under the ID/DD Community Care Act or the MC/DD Act, the allowance will be $90 starting January 1, 2027.
