HB4159

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to exclude low-speed electric bicycles from the definition of "bicycle.

The bill amends the Illinois Vehicle Code by modifying the definition of "bicycle." Specifically, it removes low-speed electric bicycles from the definition, which previously included any human-powered device with two tandem wheels, excluding scooters and similar devices. This change affects the classification of certain electric bicycles, which will no longer be considered bicycles under the state's vehicle code. The amendment takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
