Introduced·10/3/25
Introduced Text

Illinois HB4144 establishes a funding formula for the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System and the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System.

Illinois HB4144 amends the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act to require the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS) to annually determine the necessary funding for the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) and the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS). This funding is intended to alleviate difficulties emergency responders face in coordinating and providing personnel and equipment from participating agencies and units of local government when responding to all-hazard emergencies.
