Allows political committees to cover security expenses for public officials and candidates.

HB4083 amends the Illinois Election Code to allow political committees to cover security expenses for public officials and candidates. This includes costs for security at a public official's or candidate's residence or for other security services if necessary due to risks arising from their political or governmental duties. The bill also permits reimbursement for childcare for minor children or care for dependent family members if needed to fulfill political or governmental duties.
