Establishes a legislative scholarship task force to award scholarships to Illinois residents attending public universities.
The bill amends the Higher Education Student Assistance Act to create a legislative scholarship task force. This task force will receive and consider applications for scholarship assistance. The task force will award a total of eight scholarships per representative district each year. Scholarships are available to qualified nominees who are U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens, residents of the representative district, and enrolled or accepted for enrollment at a public university in Illinois.
