Illinois HB4023 prohibits state and local government contracts with entities found guilty of insurrection or advocating government overthrow.

Illinois HB4023 amends the Illinois Procurement Code to prohibit state agencies from entering into contracts with businesses, persons, or entities found guilty of insurrection or advocating the overthrow of the federal or state government. Local governments must adopt ordinances or resolutions regulating such contracts. A business, person, or entity is considered to have committed insurrection or advocated government overthrow if found guilty under specified provisions.
