Illinois HB3774 amends the Wage Payment and Collection Act by establishing an administrative procedure for wage claims, allowing the Department of Labor to adjudicate claims and issue final decisions. Employers who willfully refuse to pay wages, final compensation, or wage supplements face penalties of 1% per day of the amount owed. Employers who fail to pay within 35 days of a demand or 35 days of a court order face additional penalties.
